SkyKick is delighted to report on achieving an annual milestone in relation to its compliance with the GDPR and being the first cloud services provider to attain the new Data Pro verification mark.
The Data Pro Code, which has now been formally approved by the Dutch Supervisory Authority and adopted by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) is the first Code of Conduct which is independently audited for a processor’s compliance with the GDPR.
With the formal adoption of the Data Pro Code by the EDPB the audit process has been through SCOPE Europe, which provides the Data Pro Verification seal and Data Pro Certificate as a fully independent accreditation body.
The Data Pro Certificate was awarded based on an extensive external audit of SkyKick’s policies, procedures and the most recent updates of the SkyKick Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and reflects on the continued growth of SkyKick in the European market.
SkyKick has now also attained global certification of its ISMS against the ISO 27001 standard and will further drive the maturity of its global compliance initiative.
With significant work already underway towards a SOC2 report and further ISO certification covering Business Continuity Management (ISO 22301) and IT Service Management (ISO 20000), SkyKick Partners and Customers can continue to rely on its privacy and security program initiative.
