Seattle – May 20, 2014 – SkyKick (www.skykick.com), the easiest way to Office 365, today announced the release of the Enterprise Migration Suite, giving IT solution providers a better way to move large businesses to the cloud. With the suite, IT partners moving organizations with 250 to 10,000 users to Office 365 can deliver value to their customers more quickly, easily and cost-effectively.
Today, enterprise migration projects can be complex and time consuming for IT partners. Solution providers can either perform cutover migration projects, which are often difficult to execute and manage due to the amount of data and number of users that need to be migrated in a short time frame. Alternatively, they can perform hybrid migrations, which in turn require significant expertise, upfront planning and infrastructure upgrades at the customer site. The powerful new Enterprise Migration Suite addresses both of these challenges. For cutover migrations, the suite has numerous capabilities that enable partners to manage large-scale, seamless migrations with significantly less risk. The Enterprise Migration Suite also provides staged migration capabilities that do not require infrastructure upgrades, offering an attractive alternative to hybrid migrations. Additionally, SkyKick’s cloud-based architecture enables partners to start an enterprise migration project more quickly than typical enterprise deployments.
“New Signature has helped hundreds of customers successfully migrate to Office 365. We are excited about SkyKick’s new Enterprise Suite because its innovative technology gives us more flexibility in designing the optimal migration experience for our customers and helps us simplify the management of migration projects,” said Chris Hertz, CEO of IT consulting and managed service provider New Signature. “With SkyKick we can choose to perform a 1000+ seat cutover migration, or a large staged migration without having to deploy a hybrid infrastructure. SkyKick’s new Enterprise Migration Suite will make a real impact on our business.”
The Enterprise Migration Suite includes the Enterprise Planner, Migration Sync, Outlook and Exchange Assistants, and the Project Management Application. With the Enterprise Planner, partners can automatically discover and easily configure a pre-deployment plan even for advanced scenarios such as multi-domain or mixed-environment migrations without having to go on-site, or perform Active Directory or ADFS work. Migration Sync enables partners to choose either a seamless, zero-downtime enterprise-grade cutover migration from any email system, or a staged migration from Exchange or Google Apps—eliminating the need to upgrade a customer’s server or network environments. With the Outlook and Exchange Assistants partners can perform pre-migration desktop and network assessments, which automate much of the last mile client-side and server-side customizations that partners or their customers previously had to configure manually. Also included in the suite is the Project Management Application, which gives partners real-time visibility and control into the migration projects—simplifying the management of complex enterprise deployments.
“We’ve architected the migration suite to address the complexity of enterprise migration scenarios, and built it in a way that makes it easier for our partners to manage the migration project—giving them more automation, and at the same time more control,” said Brad Younge, Co-Founder & CTO of SkyKick. “We are excited about the opportunity to help our partners in the enterprise space.”
