What’s a SAM? Internally, we call our support technicians SAMs (SkyKick Account Managers) because of their level of technical expertise and their collaborative, consultative approach to helping partners. When partners call into our free, unlimited phone and email support, they immediately get someone with the knowledge to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve Partner questions.
This week we’re featuring Lincoln Crane, Product Specialist.

What attracted you to SkyKick? The individuality, intelligence, and work ethic of every team member.
What is your current role? Product Specialist
What do you like most about your role? The problem-solving. Working with partners and exercising the technology is what makes the job exciting.
What is your favorite SkyKick feature and why? It might seem basic, but Discovery is still my favorite. Seeing an entire email system populate from one user’s credentials is an incredible way to start the migration process.
What is most challenging? Avoiding making assumptions based on previous migration experiences and knowledge. The incredible variety of migration scenarios require all of us (even the most experienced) to keep an open mind and ask the right questions to understand how to best help our partners. It is a constant battle with personal bias, the enemy within.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Recording music, researching cars, and personal growth.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be? Foresight.
On which TV show would you like to be a character, and what would your character be? I would want to be Shaggy from Scooby Doo, because he gets to hang out with his best canine friend all day, go on adventures, and eat delicious food.
